Hajji
Rifet Karić from Busovača sets out on foot on a 5,000-km journey to Mecca. After months of an exhausting pilgrimage, bureaucratic obstacles force him into a radical move: he turns to the dark channels of illegal migration in order to complete the Hajj at any cost. As he crosses borders outside the law and is arrested, the film questions the moral boundary between religious intent and illegal action. Is undertaking the Hajj by a path the system calls a crime also a sin before God?
